It’s a lively time here at Salco as our construction schedule has been soaring in 2016 with all of the projects we have been building in and around town. In January we broke ground on a 17,000 sf facility for Coast Machinery which will be located on Highland Road. This building will be a Marsh Master manufacturing facility. Our team worked eagerly with the owner to design a building tailored to the specific requirements necessary for the fabrication of these unique machines.

In February of this year we demolished the existing Serop’s Express building located on Jefferson Highway. Working closely with the owners we were able to design a new 2,415 sf building to house this delicious eatery. Serop’s Express is scheduled to open June 2016 and we hope you will check it out for the savory dining as well as our craftsmanship. Later this same month, we began an extensive interior/exterior renovation to a 10,000 sf existing building for the newest Mattress Direct location on Siegen Lane. Leading up to the start of this project, our designers worked diligently with the owner to construct a functional yet aesthetically pleasing store to add to his growing mattress business. This store, slated to open Summer of 2016, will be the fifth location in Baton Rouge and the twenty-third location in the Gulf South area.

We recently closed out our permits on a sizeable 60,000 square foot warehouse for Shopper’s Choice located on Airline Highway.

While it is bittersweet for us to close out each of our projects, we are truly blessed to know that there are many, many projects still to be constructed. On May 17th we attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the long anticipated CJ Brown Realtors office building project. This 4,638 sf building will be located on Airline Highway and will be home to agents servicing the Baton Rouge and Prairieville areas.

We recently began an interior/exterior renovation to an existing building located on Swamp Road in Prairieville for Brand Energy Solutions. Soon we will start construction on a 14,250 sf building for Flodraulic Group to be located on Sunbelt Court, a 29,430 sf building for Big River Construction which will be for MMR on Airline Highway and a 7,500 sf building for Broadmoor Village Shopping Center on Florida Blvd.

We have so much to be thankful for here at the Eagle’s Nest as we continue to build Baton Rouge and the surrounding areas.
